Applications to the Cal States are due November 30!

One measure of a university’s distinctive strengths is found in the types of “Special Programs”, “Institutes” and “Centers” at the school. These all represent joint efforts by professors from multiple departments, students, businesses, alumni, community members and outside experts working together. An institute can focus on advanced research, explore an emerging field, solve a particular problem, or advance a cause. Here are 10 treasures in California’s State Universities:
